Sony ST-5950 SD Front Plate

I know this is a stab in the dark, but if anyone can help I'd be grateful. I stumbled upon a 5950 that is otherwise mint, except for the front faceplate looks like someone took a compass point to it at some point (maybe kids?). Anyway. if any has or knows where I can find a good plate, I'd have keen interest. Thanks in advance.

Alternatively, is there any way to repair deep scratches in brushed aluminum without it appearing "patchy". I can think of nothing short of sanding/grinding off everything, including lettering, and starting over.

You could have it fly-cut. Then there is a special machine that puts that finish on the aluminum plate, but I've forgotten the name of the machine/process. But is not that uncommon in a large machineshop. But, there goes the silk-screen lettering.
