Bought a Forte preamp from @soundmig / Mike. I was going to be away on a trip, so asked Mike to delay shipping by a few days, which he graciously obliged and timed the shipment to arrive a day after I returned. 
The unit was packed with real care and attention to detail, and he offered some flexible options to allow me to explore whether discrete op amps made sense for me. A real gentleman and fine AK'er!
