Speaker upgrade for my system

My modest set up consists of a Bryston 2b with a Bryston .5b preamp , along with a Yamaha yp-d6 turntable , running through Mission 770 Freedom speakers. I am looking around at different speakers , it SEEMS like , to my ears I will have to spend 3k plus to upgrade tonally . The small speakers out today just dont have the depth . I listened to some Bryston Mini A s and they didnt do it for me. Tried some Bryston A2 model , very nice ! Any of the 1k model Paradigms didnt sound as good as what I have imho.
Ideas and thoughts welcome . Am I off base with my 3k prediction ? Can the Missions possibly be that good ?

Maybe try to listen to ProAc Response D2's, still current I think and a used pair will come in around 1000 bucks under budget.

paired mine with a used REL S2 sub for a great office system.

I agree with the Focals. You might be surprised what you could find for 3,000 dollars. Really good speakers.
