I would want something that would complement the smooth, solid sound of the Sansui.
What is your favorite type of music? How do you enjoy hearing it?
With vintage era speaker systems, you can select those with excellent dynamics and sound, or more reserved, tonally flatter output. New speakers are fine too, but avoid the cheapy models.
I have always liked some real 'heft' to the box. A good solid, dead thump when given the knuckle-rap test.
Sansui electronics are fine, but their speakers were typically underwhelming.
Pioneer's HPM models are still excellent reproducers: fine dynamics and excellent accuracy.
Sansui and JBL is a great combination.
The G-801 will accommodate a tremendous range of speaker systems. This is the best part of the hunt! Enjoy.
