Spotify from ipad into hi-fi?

Old thread but I also jumped on the iPad -> Airport Express -> hifi bandwagon. Works great. I also have the Netgear Orbi router.

I was streaming Spotify through my Nvidia Shield but it required my TV to be on and no need to put hours on the TV when only listening to music. The Airport Express was an inexpensive solution! Now my iPad is a really, really nice remote control!

I am using the iPad to Airport Express to hifi route. The only downside is that it drops out for short periods. I tried to pick up wifi with a Bluesound Node 2 but it will not connect with out the AE to get the wifi signal.


What is hifi bandwagon?

I have not noticed any sound quality problem on iPad/Tidal/Airport Express/Bluesound Node 2. I guess if I don’t hear it I guess that is good. No point in looking for it.

I have never tried Spotify because they spam me all the time which disqualifies them. The only company that I never used but spams me the most is Dick’s Sporting goods.
