Stacking speakers and want to avoid any damage...?

Tom; I don't see any reason why not other than the 6's are a little more powerful than the 17's IIRC.

Thanks Larry.

I have the following info for these speakers...

SPL at 1 watt:
KLH Six = 87db
KLH Seventeen = 88db

I just want to make sure that I protect my beautiful Fisher gear!

BTW, Everyone have a great Labor Day!

Should work fine. Just hook them up to the 4 ohm tap on the back of the Fisher when you parallel two 8 ohm speakers.

The KLH's should work well together and good idea to get the tweeters close between the two speakers. The cross-over between the Six and 17 is nearly the same and the tweeters are the same. The difference between the two models are:

- Six has bigger cabinet.
- Six has bigger woofer
- Six has a choke in the woofer circuit as part of a low-pass filter in the cross-over. The 17 doesn't have that choke.

I gave my only set of 17's to my son so I don't have a set handy to do the same stacking.

I'm driving a pair of Sixes with my KX-100. Sounds sweet.
