Stanton 500 stylus color code

Hi all!

I've recently purchased a NOS Stanton 500 from the notorious auction site. Like all of the first series 500s, the fingergrip is black plastic. There is a colored rectangle on the front of the grip indicating the stylus type, but I can't remember the code anymore. In the middle 1970s, we used these on the Gates and QRK tables at WVBR-FM (StereoIthaca!), but that info has evaporated from my memory... Can anyone refresh my memory on the code??

Best wishes,
Keith Madden

Ok this is from memory. Red I think is the 5100EE and is a 0.03X 0.07, the yellow or gold as some call it is 5100E and it's 0.04 X 0.07 I think the one that is the .07 conical is white with the blue rectangle.

Oh and then there is the Blue stylus assembly the one used in the 500MKII it's a 0.03 X 0.07 but it will work in the 500 series as i have a gold body one. Well it use to be gold till I sanded off all the paint as it was looking ragged, looks good now.

Gold dot is the EE .3 x .7 elliptical stylus
Red dot is the DE .4 x .7 elliptical stylus
Turquoise dot is the AL .7 conical stylus
Blue dot is the D3 2.7 conical stylus for 78 use

Those are the only four I have experience with.
