The rubber coated area on the back of my old Harmony One had gotten sticky like that stuff does over time.
I thought about it and tried different solutions online. Finally I pried the piece off and soaked it in dot 3 brake fluid. It came off, it did leave some white cloudy areas I rubbed off with compound. Much better.
Two of the little snap pieces broke taking it off and they have double double sided tape on the very rear area. I just removed the residue and snapped it back on, seems to stay. If not I'll use some of that tape myself.
