when my current stocks of lamps are exhausted for my Revox A700/B77/C270, I will be looking at the possibilities of replacing them with LEDs. Singly or in multiples. The original lamps will be a lot more mechanically "robust" than any of the lamps made today. Repeated replacement of inferior modern equivalents will make the expense in both time and effort worth while. The manufacturers of modern lamps are also dropping the less common lines. You may face the possibility of no replacement possible.
I have replaced C270 Meter movements. I do not intend doing the same job, essentially, to replace a lamp. It will be a MOD and then forget it!!
Purely a personal preference. Your choice is your own.
