Sweet gear in 16 Candles!

    Haven't seen the movie in 20 years (seen it 300 times), but never noticed the sweet gear at Jake's house after the party. A Nakamichi Dragon and a nice Denon (DP-62 maybe?). There was another tapedeck stacked on the Dragon, openface like the Pioneer series.

    That is my favorite part of the movie is the gear. In almost every John Hughs film there is a display of stereo equipment usually playing in the background

    Well he is probably everyone's favorite for sure. Long dong sure is a character... Besides I would rather take home Nakamichi then the Donger lol

    Wasn't the open well tape deck spitting out tape and some kind of bubbles? The pizza playing with a slice missing on the platter was painful to watch. That poor tonearm and stylus!

    Probably the only TT that could handle it, Denon's Q-dampening is a modern marvel!
