SX-1250 Power Supply/Stabilizer Voltages

A friend wanted me to help with his SX-1250 that had no sound. I quickly discovered that the protection relay wasn't engaging. I found voltages on the AWR-106 Stabilizer to be out of spec. So, I rebuilt the AWR-107 Power Supply, rebuilt the AWR-106 Stabilizer, and rebuilt the AWR-091 Protection Boards.

All the voltages are now within 5% of spec EXCEPT pins 1 & 2 on the AWR-106 Stabilizer Board. The spec is -62 VDC & +62 VDC and I'm getting readings of -71.3 VDC and +71.3 VDC which is 15% over spec. Is this critical?

The relay engages around 4 seconds and the receiver plays good. But am I slowly cooking something?

Thanks for your help.

That is unregulated DC, and is highly dependent upon line voltage and load.

So:
1. no it is not critical
2. no, no slow cooking - temperatures are expected, if the voltage differentials are not there the regulation suffers.

When you look at the large schematic in the SM, it shows the AWR-106 pin 1 & 2 voltages to be +/- 70V. So, you're in good shape.

Thanks LesE.
I hardly looked at the big schematic because the scan wasn't the best and a little difficult to read. I see it now.
