My sx-1250 refurb is now complete and I'm very satisfied with the beast. I just wanted to thank everyone here for the help and advice - this is truly a great site with a wealth of info and just plain fun advice. From Bob in Catskill who donated some 1845 transistors when Mouser was out to Mark that gave me advice on what to do when I couldn't get my rail voltage on the DBT, quality bunch of guys. It was a long awaited day to power it up and listen to " Cinema show". Now I will delve into the deep and get ready to wipe the dust off my st-1000a and see if I can get the FM tuning perfect vs where it is now ... BTW I found a good source for those little function lights instead of converting to LED Thanks All

I wish I had the skills to refurb something like this.
My brother has our dad's old 1250 sitting in his workshop, asked about refurbing it or selling it to get some tunes going. I'd love to get it but know that it's way out of my diagnostic/soldering skill league to take on something like this.
That is a pretty unit you have there.
