SX-650 Tuner board Cap list

I've recapped my SX-650 but didn't touch the tuner board in fear of screwing up the tuning. After some protection circuit issues, outlined elsewhere, she's running beautifully but there's some significant static on stations with signal around 3-4 or lower on the signal meter. Interestingly switching to MONO clears any static right out of the play.

I looked through some threads and came up with this list by savaging from this thread: www.audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/sx-650-re-cap-parts-list-how-does-it-look.354642/

I'm not sure I found a definitive answer from markthefixer on the the bolded caps below. Note, I like the plan on a couple of the questionable ones to try to replace, then if tuning is effected, put the old one back in.

Here is the list of parts I'm planning (considering) to replace next month:
* Note I haven't checked for availability of any parts, pay more attention than anything to the reference designators.

Thoughts on the below list?

You are complaining about lack of response to this post / thread in marty's list of lists thread. You have little idea how much work and time a response involves, and you are just "jumping the gun" in your expectation of results. You get the digested results in other threads quickly, without appreciating the time gaps in the threads. The lists generally are the work of just three or four members, and we're not sitting there waiting for people to give us more to do.

MY lists might have shown up quickly - but ONLY because I had done the work FAR previously when I worked on someone else's unit, and just shared that work product's spreadsheet.

THIS unit has several conflicting lists that have NOT been the result of reverse engineering (meaning me, EchoWars or some other very experienced tech or a diligent EE) and I just plain HAVEN'T been yet able to steal enough time to reconcile them.
First their original data from the service manual needs to be verified, then appropriate UPW and UKL caps selected.
NEXT I need to FIND appropriate capacitors in the 0.1 to 1.0 uF range as thoser caps in these lists have been discontinued by the manufacturer.
THEN I have to go through the transistors. Pioneer may call for a specific transistor in a specific location, but the years may show that they chose the WRONG part number for that location due to a history of failures AT THAT CIRCUIT FUNCTION.

As for the list you quote, it groups the capacitors by the integrated circuit that caps appears to be associated with.
The PART NUMBERS someone dreamed up are ALL OVER THE MAP: UMT, QRZ, QYS are ?? and ECQ is probably discontinued.
That plus checking my own records is how I know it wasn't me, I started work investigating this list on May 18, 2014 and didn't get very far.

AND someone else has been looking (to me) for a sa-9500ii list as well, reconciled from mattsd and kingbubba lists with some improbable features.

First off I apologize that I have come across as complaining, when I didn't see a response to this thread, I made the incorrect assumption that the sticky was the right place to post questions about recapping. I am new to this community and I have become absolutely enamored by the expertise and tribal knowledge encompassed in the group of people who post here.

My goal was to dig through old threads for information, combine into an single location, execute, document, and share when complete as a means to try to contribute to the AK Pioneer community.

I'm a little upset that my question has caused this unexpected reaction, it was certainly not the intention.

My intent was to illuminate, and sometimes I fluff it badly.
Being out of practice (hiatus and all that) as well as poor social skills (suspected aspbergers) doesn't help.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, and many hands DO make the work lighter.

BTW, the static on stereo means a weak signal, and recapping won't help that at all.
A better antenna would be your best effort right now.
An alignment would be ultimate solution, where the RF gain is peaked.
That needs special non (or minimal) metallic tools.

I'd have to check if mono on yours just combines left and right audio, or if it actually suppresses the action of the stereo decoder.
Does your stereo lamp flicker?
