Tape out --> headphone amp ??

Can I add a headphone amp to the tape out?

I have an Onix a-60 that doesn't have a headphone socket or pre-out's but would like to use headphones. Before I spend the money on an amp I figured I better be sure it will work.

My Quad 34 has an unmarked output that just happens to be line lever voltage, and I use this for my headphone amp.

I have used the tape out before, and it worked fine. The only downside is that you can't listen to the tape input on your headphones. So your an input down.

But yeh it should work.

That's my normal set-up: tape output fo the MA2275 --> XCanv3 headphone amplifier.
Never had any problem with that set-up

Tape out is perfect for a Headphone amp. That´s how I feed my Musical Fidelity X-Cans.
