Technics sl-bd10 dumb question...

Preface: the only experience I have with TT's is as a kid with my parents cheap stereo...

Just picked up the TT the other day and noticed the table spins all the time when it's turned on. Is that normal? I remember my dad's cheap table stopping when you put the tone arm in it's "parking spot". Should this table do that?

So then it's just the way it is... gotta switch it off to change or flip records. Cool! Just wanted to make sure there's nothing wrong with it.

Why not go register for free at vinyl engine and download your manual. I expect you will learn a lot from it.
