Temperature meter recommendation

Hi all:

I’m looking for a simple temperature meter which can be fixed/clipped on the heat sink to monitor temperature while the amplifier is on the test bench undergoing repairs/modifications.

The IR laser gun is an option but I need it to be ideally “hands free”.

Any recommendations?

I had not considered the fridge/freezer thermometers thinking they would only measure how cold a unit was operating

This one from the auction site claiming to measure -50C to 110C for just $1.26 shipped including batteries is a no brain-er (no affiliation):
