That thing is HUGE! What's your largest receiver?B

Nice to see there are "boatanchors" in the audio world. My Hammarlund SP600 JX-17 in it's Budd case weights 105 pounds.

Had one of those once, the penultimate American Single conversion tube all-wave commo receiver. I kept the BC-1004-C /SP-210X as the nostalgic favorite. Iirc, ca 60 lbs for each chassis of the receiver and it's power supply.

The biggest thing I have is a Pioneer SX-950.
My Realistic STA-90 is nearly as large and heavy.
Not quite monsters, but plenty.
I have an Onkyo TX-3000 that gives both a run for their money in the width department, but not weight.
It has that low, wide 1980s look to it.

I'm going to have to say that the pig I have on my bench presently is without doubt the winner in my case.Huge doesn't even begin to describe it!
Rotel RX-1603. 23 5/8''w x 7''h x 18 7/8''d & 73lbs. For you metric geezers,that's 600w x 180h x 480d & 33kg's.

Just looking at the pix makes my back hurt.

The biggest receiver I own is the Lafayette LR-9090. Sidewalk find that has worked fine for 4 years now.

Presently own Pioneer SX-1250, Sansui G-9000, Marantz 2385, Sansui QRX-9001. Have owned Concept 16.5 (three of them), Sanyo JCX-2900, lots of slightly lesser units.
IIRC, the largest receiver ever was the Sansui G-33000 at 107lbs. It came in two pieces.

Really a sheep in wolves clothing is my Akai AS-980'
650 x 170 x 420 and about 21 Kgs. Apparently around US$830 in 1973.
Mine has been "modded" and is now fully chipped but it's really too big for my use so it just sits in the spare room and glares at me. Makes me nervous.

I think the largest receiver presently own is a Sylvania quadraphonic beast in my storage building. Also a Fisher RS-2010.
