That thing is HUGE! What's your largest receiver?B

I have a Pioneer SX-1010 (as do others here). That thing isn't just a tank, it's an M1-A1 with blue lights.
My Luxman R-1120 is not a small component, but it is dwarfed by the SX-1010.

Ok, I'll play. My largest receiver is a Realistic STA-2080.

For amps alone, my largest are an Onkyo M-504 (50 pounds) and a Dynaco 410 (44 pounds). Though, I must confess that my diminutive Texas Instruments TPA3255 evaluation amp has every bit of grunt and sound quality as the others.

I have a couple of big Onkyo's - the TX-8500 and A-10. Both are dual mono.
I also have an NAD 3080 and a bit lighter Pioneer SX-850.

Biggest receiver I've ever owned was a Pioneer SX-1250. I eventually sold it on the bay for $1300.00. What a pain in the arse it was to pack this 66lb. beast. I should have kept it but didn't want to do the expensive restore on the caps. It was still very solid after 38 years. Great build quality. I also had a JVC AX-1100BK that sounded fantastic. It was part of their Digifine line. It had a damping factor of 150 and just destroyed on Bass the Denon AV receiver I had. It weighed in at 44lbs.. I'm thinking of getting another. I also really liked my Adcom GFA-5400...only 125 watts/channel but sounded really good, unfortunately I didn't care about the fact as a DC amp it had no speaker protection, kind of scared me but it did sounded great with the MOSFET's. I'm looking into DK integrated amps, have a freind who bought one paired to some B&W 604 S2's...sounds pretty dam good.

Had all the monsters at one time or another, except the big Technics. Eventually parted with all of them a couple years back except for one Marantz 2500. I don’t use it, it’s just in storage but I couldn’t bear to part with ‘em all.

I picked up a Realistic STA-2100D last summer and finally got around to restoring it last month. It's a true beast at ~50 pounds and dimensions of 18-7/8 x 6-1/4 x 15-3/4 inches. I like it!

not exactly sure but that was either made by Pioneer or Hitachi. I think it actually had a nice toroidal transformer. 120 watts p/c. Most powerful receiver radio shack ever offered trying to somewhat keep up with the receiver war in 1979/80.

I never cared much for the Techincs receivers. Much more plastic and weight to watts ratio was much less compared to the other big guys...Pioneer, Sansui, Marantz, Rotel, etc. The SA-1000 was quite the powerhouse but I never heard it and have heard it didn't sound that great next to the others,

A friend gifted me a DOA, SX1980. He helped me load in the back of my truck. I strained my back getting it in to my shop on my own. I once more stained my back loading it to take for the repair and rebuild it sorely needed and 3 months later, yep more back pain after getting it back home.
So it comes in at right around 80 very awkward lbs. @ 221/2" W / 191/2" D / 83/8" H (always lift from the rear)

But, and it's a big one, The Pioneer SX 1980 puts out the rated 270wpc with ease with nearly unmeasurable distortion. After rebuild testing resulted in an output of 320wpc without clipping.

I has been on the break-in bench for awhile as I am building a suitable stand to place it on where it will stay forever. I will be enlisting help with the final move. I know when I have met my match.

Biggest best of a receiver I ever owned was an Onkyo TX-6500 MKII. It was a hernia inducing 60+lbs, everything but the kitchen sink seemed to go into that baby. Great receiver, loud as hell, but alas I recently sold it and it has now gone to a new home where I am sure it's making their floors bow and their walls crumble.

Another 2385 here. I think that the 2600 may be the heaviest, but there is a 1300DC which is an integrated amp of the 3650 preamp married to a 300DC amp that is not necessarily wide, but deep, like as deep as it is wide, and probably weighs 50 or so. I'd like one of those.

It's an old thread but I sure have enjoyed seeing all these monsters!
The biggest in my collection is my HH Scott 390 R.
120 watts per channel of 1970's stereo wars era sweet sound!
23 inches wide, 7.5 inches tall and 18 inches deep, weighing in at 50 lbs.

Here it is shown with the 350 R on top lol

I've never heard or seen one in person, but have heard the build quality isn't on par with the rest. There's been one for sale locally for a little while but the ask is quite large as would be expected these days.

I don’t know the measurements or the weight of this MCS 3275, I just know it’s BIG! It’s garish, knobby, switchy, it’s gloriously flashy. And it really does sound surprisingly good! We affectionately call it the Behemoth. Only receiver I’ve ever given a nickname.it’s not my best receiver, but it’s one of my favorites.

I'm not into monster receivers, but a few have passed though over the years. Sometime in the 90's I picked up a Sansui G33000 that was being thrown out, that's probably the biggest receiver I've ever had.
