With such diversity/audience on here now, it would be of interest to seewhat everyone's choice of the top ten songs/Albums of all time are. Nice to increase one's music appreciation...blues, rock, country etc.

Toronto, as everywhere else, has the annual New Years countdown of the greatest songs of all time as voted by the listeners. Jim Derogatis article this morning of the Chicago Sun Times is exactly what I was pondering a week ago. Music is in the eye of the beholder...influenced by the music you listen to, radio station formats, culture, generation, influences, exposure etc etc.

I primarily listen to FM102 The Edge (Alternative) Toronto, ROCK 97.7 St. Catherines...used to listen to FM 108 Burlington when it went Club Live to air at night then it switched with 95.3 Hamilton and one morning went New Country:) and the University Of Toronto station. The big classic rock station here is Q107..used to be great when it alternated with current rock but now...kinda goes hippie music too much...especially Sundays:)

Anyways I will post FM 102 The Edge's list and the hippie classic Rock Q107

Neko

One of my personal top 10 CD's last year was Neko Cases' "Blacklisted"

She doesn't get much (any?) radio play (F**K :puke:Clear Channel!) and is generally considered Alt Country but don't let that discourage you, Alt Country ain't nashvile!

Paula Frazer (formerly of Tarnation) is another fave of mine.
I tend to like the Indie label stuff :)
