The eternal question

Hey All,

I know this has been asked before but is there any way to fix or replace the shaft on a pot? The picture in the link is the main volume from a Pioneer QA-800A. I know I can use MacGyger tech but I'm selling this amp to a frequent customer and prefer to get it right. Hell, even if he wasn't a regular, I want to get it right. Any thought or ideas? Has anyone ever tried milling a new shaft?

Thx
Matt

I had a scott receiver that had a selector switch broke off. I couldn't find any part for it so what I did was pulled an old pot apart that was big enough to stick in a lathe and machine it down to fit the selector switch. I'm sure you could do it with a lot also if you can get it apart without breaking it. If you know what your doing and can find a different shaft to machine it works well.
