I would like to know if the McIntosh MX117 tuner/preamp has the warm, slightly weavy sound typical if older McIntosh? Or is it new enough to have a more neutral sound? Opinions please.

I had a few friends with 117's. Loved the tone controls which should allow you to get any over all sound balance you want. Someting just bass and treble can't do. I think I answered an early post like this once before. This post is 21 yers old.
