This didn't follow me home but it looked interesting

Had a few minutes to kill. I'm not much for stalking thrifts but nearby and feeling lucky I thought this might be my scroe day (it wasn't) I checked the usual refuse and by the large speakers there was a box with a vented back. I thought it first was a TV (though why an old tube TV would be sitting there perplexed me). This is what it was. A mono console.
Not my thing and not worth in tubes alone for what they were asking.
Anybody familiar with this?

Its a 50s era Telefunken TT
A Braun Mono receiver
It has FM, SW I, SW II, and something marked BC?

what he said, BC, MW, AM, all same thing. The German market ones sometimes have it as MW, and the FM band is UKW. I'm not going to attempt to spell the German for it but basically it translates to ultra short wave, what we'd call VHF.

Thanks,
It's a pretty nice looking little console.
If it were curbside I might have brought it home (though I need it like a hole in the head)
It might've been a cool pick up for someone who's into that kind of stuff.
I can't say I've ever seen a Tele TT before .
I suspect its nice piece of engineering .
For me it was the answer to a question that was never asked.
