Not a thrash album, but an important piece of the puzzle. It's an instrumental guitar shredder album.

Dave Mustaine needed a new guitar player when he was getting ready to work on Rust In Peace. He saw this album in his managers office and gave it a listen. The rest is history.

This one goes in and out of thrash. But when it thrashes it takes no prisoners.
From Toronto. They're kind of a made up band studio project like Boston was.

:bigok: Too funny. After a couple of albums and then a break up, Lead singer Gord Kirchin formed The Exhalted Piledriver and they played locally last Sept. Missed it unfortunately. Was committed to being at my birthday party with family. The things we sacrifice for family!:rflmao:
The other change is that Kirchin has gained considerable amounts of weight since Metal Inquisition....yet he still wears the leather getup on stage. It's a sight to behold.:eek2:more power to him.

I've loved Piledriver -- and counted them as Thrash -- for years 'n' years.

I'm going on a witch hunt........

Such a great tune

Hell yes it is. Myself, I've been on a Slayer bender of late and can't get enough of the number "Dead Skin Mask" in the "live" setting. Wow, whatta riff, whattan arrangement, lyrics, and the "back 'n' forth" b/w the geetars, which typlifies most Slayer numbers, is somehow even more keen @ this number. The song's "topic" is, of course, as terrific as it is terrifying. "Gonna tell y'all a story 'bout a man named Ed"...

I recall you mentioning not being a fan of the Bush era Anthrax @Delmarva . I myself don't have any issues with his vocals. I don't consider either John or Joey's vocals to be exceptional in anyway for the most part. They both have their pros and cons. I've always leaned towards the Crunch and musicianship when it comes to listening to Anthrax.
