Didn't realize you'd started a Bluegrass thread. A genre near and dear to my heart. I don't really have a lot, but I like what I got.
Been playing Dolly Parton's 1999 - 2002 Bluegrass Trilogy today. You'd never know that it took her 35 albums before she did a bluegrass effort. She's a total natural.

Yes, I started it a while back. Surprised that there is so little interest in such an excellent genre. To,each his own, I suppose. It is one of my favorites.
I have that trio of albums and agree that Dolly is a natural bluegrass singer. Another mainstream country artist that has done some excellent bluegrass is Patty Loveless. If you have not done so already, check out her Mountain Soul albums (vols 1 & 2). She is another natural!
We went to see The Travelin' McCourys a while ago. They were great!!
Been listening to this local group of young guys called Rivers. They are building quite a following. They have a unique, haunting sound. It's memorizing watching them live. You start to sway and groove without realizing it. Super talented.
Also listened to this one earlier.
Picked up a couple of new to me Flatt & Scruggs albums this weekend. $4 well spent! Currently listening to this one.
And now this one.
Went to a Pickin and Fiddlin Fest in Roxbury CT yesterday. I published a You tube video from the event of 2016 in this thread before as I have few CD's of it. I actually now have 6 and they are all by this man here.
An octogenarian early in the forefront of bluegrass banjo and folk
He still holds court in venues around Newtown and in and around CT.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
