these guys were local and played parties when I was in my early teens.
Was that back in the Thackery days? He's a heck of a player.
Yeah. Very underrated guitarist. He left the band after their big label (Mercury) album was a dud. Naturally, the label wanted something different than what the band wanted. He was right up there talent-wise with some of the better white blues guitarists that were making a name for themselves and felt the band was holding him back. They have had a lot of excellent guitarists since.
Not your usual Blues artist.
At least not mine.

As you can see in the 3rd pic, in Mexico it's called Dare Wires. Haha. Strangely enough, I own 2 records pressed in Mexico. Both John Mayall records. Both with abnormalities. I also have Live in Europe who's cardboard record jacket is fractionally smaller. Making it a challenge to replace the record sleeve once the record was cleaned. Hmmmm.
