I managed to find this out of print CD from an Amazon seller for around $6.50 - not bad considering how much FleaBay scalpers are trying to get for it. I have several recordings of the Rach 2nd Sonata, but only one other recording of the First. Despite the fact that Alexis Weissenberg's playing can sound a bit mechanical at times - it is otherwise note-perfect. An enjoyable listen.

The Seattle Symphony is playing this next week, and I'm starting to think I might get tickets.
