I know this cycle is usually considered a mediocre budget affair - and there are some issues with the orchestra - but this is the first time I've heard it...and I actually really like this recording! Feels..authentic, somehow. Like I am living back in the mid-20th century listening to a good conductor with great respect for Beethoven and no desire to show off...kind of gives me the same feeling I get when I listen to Bruno Walter conduct Beethoven. If I went to a concert hall and heard this today, I'd be thrilled!

Also listening to Sibelius Quartets for the first time - very satisfying so far!
