I´m listening to Beethovens 8th from Rattle/Wiener, have my eyes closed, a smile on my face and on the verge of shedding a tear or two.

    Awesome music!

I attended the final full rehearsal this morning; just got home. It was in a high school auditorium. I set up three recording rigs, including my binaural head. The director was fine with the head, including if I wanted to use it in the concert.
I did a binaural recording of the rehearsal, and will see if I can find a good clip that I can post (minimizing the start, stop, start again....)

OK,.... the orchestra for this thing is massive! The director suggested that it is 150+ members, or double the normal symphony orchestra. He said that they were going to be all the way out to the stage lip. So, I'm going to have to go out into the hall... read: balcony, front row. I'll be able to do whatever I want from there. It is a general admission seating event. So, I can set up wherever in the hall I want, but, think it will probably be the balcony for this one.
