Edgard Varese

"Complete Works Volume 1" (There was never a second one...)

Recorded in New York in May and June, 1950

Black&White cover, pink label, violet vinyl. 1950 EMS 401, "first edition".

Frank's very first record, he purchased it when he was 15. My oldest record. I purchesed it in 2009 at "Julian's Books", New York, via internet for 39 dollars. The only record I'm spinning (about one time a year) although the vinyl is in pretty poor condition - for sentimental reasons. This record is very very rare. Does anybody here have it?

"The composer on the cover looks like a weird scientist." (Frank)

No,unfortunately!l wish....all i have of Varese is a Naxos compilation, giving no real insight into the composer.
But i do have lots of Franks material......a genius.
