I think I said this over in another thread, but I like this guy. As noted, I'm new(ish) to classical music and stone dumb about it, but the two or three things I've heard with him conducting have all seemed warmer and more human or something. It's the first time I've really gotten how the conductor makes a difference.

I bought that album back in the 1970s, and loved it. It took me YEARS to realize that the wrong pressing was labelled and put into the sleeve. The pressing I have is the same ensemble, but instead is 'A Tapestry of Music for Oliver Cromwell & his Roundheads'!
LOL.....i have the single album with Cavalier music and the double album with both Cavalier and Roundhead tunes....wonderful stuff,dont think they ever made an uninteresting recording....your postings as usual PM are sublime.:beatnik:

Nice!

I have become a big fan of Wagner.

I have started to listen to more operas, which was something I thought would not have been possible a few years ago. And it was all thanks to Wagner's works.

This is a great record, one of my favorites from him.
