Some real nice playing on this selection of pieces. Handel didn't write any trumpet concertos, so some of these are transcriptions of music written for other instruments, may played by Maurice Andre, one of the best!!! Others are misc orchestral movements (like from Water Music) that were collect to make a nice set of Handel for trumpet. Still great listening.

Beethoven:

Fidelio oder die eheliche Liebe, Op. 72

Jon Vickers: Florestan
Sena Jurinac: Leonore
Gottlob Frick: Rocco
Hans Hotter: Pizarro
Elsie Morrison: Marzelline
John Dobson: Jaquino
Forbes Robinson: Fernando

Covent Garden Orchestra and Chorus

Live recording, London (UK), March 7, 1961
