Man, with all the legendary front lines, Barron & Curson never got their due.
They do in these parts.
Those Barron/Curson CDRs that I burned from those files you sent me years ago are still living in the glove box of my truck.
I don't think I own them anymore, they belong to my truck, aka Rusty Shackleford, now.:rflmao:
 
Funny I was listening to Goodman the other day. But tonight it's Monk and Coltrane at Carnegie Hall. Unfortunately I wasn't paying much attention to the jazz or music world when it was first discovered and released, so I've never heard the vinyl, but the CD contains some seriously grooving bytes (Discogs photo).

Shame was looking forward to following this Greatest Blue Note thread to pick up some ideas...slow gestation perhaps...


Haha... kris had a brief moment trying to spark it back up, but it turned out to be indigestion lol. I have limited spare time and commitments at other places, trading music. I may give it another go. I think the other guys are in the same boat.
