Today's JAZZ playlist

Fred Hersh's new solo album, [open book] arrived today. I decided to spring for the LP version for an extra $2.50 since Amazon included an mp3 version, which helped as there's one additional track in the digital version. It's one of two new release vinyl pressings I've bought since the early 90s, and there is more noise than I think there should be for a new release, as well as a good sized pop, so I'm slightly disappointed in the quality of the pressing. (The other new LP I bought in the last year or so was Mehldau's Blues and Ballads, which has no issues).

Anyway, I'm still evaluating the music. So far I'm liking it quite a bit. I especially like his interpretation of "Whisper Not," but that's been one of my favorite standards for quite some time.

Edit/update-I put up a brief review in the review forum.
