Yeah, I hear ya, my friend!

June Christy / Something Cool
102 degrees coming up this weekend.
Have we 'talked' about those DVDs?
Don't know Jess Stacy. Do know Steve Allen.
We'll get back to it.The brain can't say yes or no for certain, but then I too can't remember what I did yesterday these days. I'll be better during my Hawaiian Sabbatical in 5 months.
I thought I'd seen THAT particular video before. But.... "thought" is the operative word there.
We'll get back to it.
You'll want to see them, trust me.
That was like our freaky hot weekend last week! Finally back to normal temps. Just don't know how people can live in those hot climates, not me!
I have that album but it's a different cover.
No offense to authenticity, but I kinda like the Leo Meirsdorff watercolor. The pic just makes everyone look silly....
A lot depends on cool breezes, Steve. In Hawaii, when the trade winds are blowing, it's paradise. You don't need Air conditioning. Just a few ceiling fans and open the sliding glass doors on both sides of the condo or home (all homes have shotgun windows and sliding doors) and you are set.
But when the trade winds die (twice a year for a week or so) it's like living in an oven. The sign that says "Welcome to Hawaii, a Tropical Paradise" melts into the road surface.
Best known for his time with Benny Goodman. Just one of the great players!
Isn't the weather there, humid? Don't like the humidity too.
You don't perceive the humidity with the trade winds. The trade winds are cool and they blow around 15 mph inland, 20 mph on the beach. The humidity on the skin is not felt, but the skin is super healthy because of it. No one in Hawaii uses moisturizer.
Hawaiian trade winds are like natural air conditioning.
But I will add that it is humid, even though you may not always perceive it. All of my equipment in Hawaii is Black Plastic. Metal rusts and corrodes very rapidly. Not just from the humidity but from the salt air. All of my speakers have rubber surrounds. Foam only lasts a few years in Hawaii. Most of the homes (mine included) have no air conditioning nor heat because 99 pecent of the time, it's not needed. So all of my non black plastic gear stays in Florida in the Air Conditioning.
Gannon can tell you about salty sea air. Right Gannon?
When the dew point gets into the 60s, that's too humid for me. I need my temps around 70 with dew point at 53.
