Last year when the Bobbie Gentry boxset came out one point of hype was a new stereo mix of her non-LP track Apartment 21. Supposedly this song was never released in stereo before.
I knew this didn't sound right and sure enough I found in my collection a Japanese promo 45 in stereo. Or so I thought. I finally got around to cleaning and playing it again after maybe a decade. False advertising! It is in fact the known mono mix. Oh well. Cool picture sleeve anyway!

A nice copy will set you back a little more than that today.
