This is one of those I-couldn't-stand-them-as-a-kid/teen duos that one grows to love as an adult. Having been born in 1973, I was a toddler/young kid when this brother and sister hit their commercial peak and (obviously) didn't "get" their material. Now, approaching 44 during the next few weeks, they're viewed as one of those acts that you're glad to have released a discography of clean, wholesome, wholly enjoyable pop/soft-rock tunes you can play in front of your children and, being past the point of caring what others think about you, turn up in public. Compared to the absolute garbage I'm hearing on pop/urban radio in 2017, I'd gladly turn up the volume on these two versus that "trap" (e.g. Future and his compatriots south of the Mason Dixon line...) bullshit that my 17-year-old daughter is in the process of driving me crazy with. All-around excellent pick, Dunhill.

Once I obtained/heard his discography beyond 80s hits such as "The Longest Time" and "Keeping the Faith," I fell deeply in love with the work of this wizard on the black and whites. I've played Turnstiles, The Stranger, 52nd Street, and Glass Houses so many times, you'd think I wrote them. I didn't like the smaltzy pop of the aforementioned singles as a teen in the 80s, but have grown to be a huge fan of the man's work as an adult. As a matter of fact, I think I'll listen to "Stiletto" and "Rosalinda's Eyes" when I finish my workout in about 12 minutes.
