This is not a collaboration between the artists, but 2 separate performances spliced together very skillfully.

  8. "Raze It Up" was my joint from Onyx's Shut 'Em Down. As gimmicky as they may have seemed at times, this Queens, NYC-based outfit kept it unabashedly "street" and that's what I think contributed to their massive success between the early to late 90s. Bacdafucup was released in '93 and I'm still quick to turn up the volume on "Throw Ya Gunz." My favorite release by the group is 1995's All We Got Iz Us, with "Shout," "Punkmotherfukaz," and "2 Wrongs" being amongst my absolute favorite tracks by Onyx. Excellent pick.

  15. Eminem - The Revival

Straight... garbage. It's long past the time for "Slim Shady" to have hung up the mic. If you're going to "do hip-hop," get hip-hop producers - not Rick Rubin. At large, this album sounds like a disjointed mess, with the screamed "Untouchable" and sterile light rock/rap amalgamation "River (feat. Ed Sheeran)" serving as a prime examples. And he sounds completely uncomfortable/out of his element on the trap beat featured in "Chloraseptic (feat. Phresher)." Thank goodness I always keep my reciepts. Fence-riding to move units to white, suburban America interspersed with the occasional freestyle for the "urban" crowd simply doesn't get the job done. The nail in the coffin consists of attempting to flow over Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' "I Love Rock and Roll" in "Remind Me." Either hit the block en route to the cipher with rhymes in your backpack or go home.

Not a huge hip-hop fan, but I love the beats Madlib makes, bought most of the Medicine Show collection. Listening to this on Apple Music because I'm too lazy to dig out the CD, through my old Macbook and a pair of Grado SR-80s that need recabling.
