Liner notes say this was recorded in 1966 and 1967. While that sounds like it was a little past his heyday, this is some great stuff.

LWJ had a successful run in the late 50's doing some original stuff and covers. Convicted of manslaughter after a fatal stabbing after a show, he died in prison in 1968.

    Good Evening Cafe....

    What's Cookin' Tonight???

Before I spin anything tonight, I would like to have a moment so silence in honor of two people of whom we lost over the last week or so.

(01). Chuck Berry (Pioneer and Inventor of Rock-N-Roll, Legend of Rock-N-Roll, and Rock-N-Roll Hall Of Fame Inductee)

    (02). Joni Sledge (Sister Sledge)

Thank Them Both For Their Contributions To The Genre We All Enjoy Year In & Year Out...

May They Both Rest In Peach.

    Hey Charles,

I did know about the passing of Chuck Berry, didn't know Joni Sledge passed! Was Joni the oldest sister?

Thanks for the birth dates! Just read that Joni died of natural causes.
