Ahh yea, Cool Breeze just walked in the ole Soul Groovin' cafe' with some tasty Soul stew! Classic stuff right there my friend!
Okay... so it's experimental soul. Still soul, right. Seriously, I love what Kelela does. She's coming to the 930 Club in DC March 1. I am trying to convince the bride to take the train with me down to see her. If I can't convince her, should I go alone?
Welcome Worried Man to our little Soul Groovin' cafe'!
Will have to check this one out & do stop by anytime!
Thank you! Soul is a good cornerstone of my collection, although I find myself these days gravitating more toward what might be called experimental R&B. Love all of it, though, of course.
Eddie Fisher & the Next One Hundred Years

My CD/LP/TAPE Collection
You betcha', v8!
Donna Summer / Bad Girls
First pressings have a very high gloss cover, cardboard is also heavier than later pressings. Bought my copy as soon as it hit the stores back in the Spring of '79, so mine has the high gloss cover. Side 4 is a Donna Summer/Giorgio Moroder masterpiece! "Lucky" is the best song on the album, they should have put that out as a single!!
Ashford and Simpson
Very nice! I wish I had been more "aware" back in the day. I'd love to have stuff like this in my collection.
I have a big collection of Donna Summer on vinyl! That heavenly voice of her's I was a fan from the beginning. Was so sad when she passed away.
