Can someone enlighten me as to the purpose of the Tone Mode on my Marantz 2275? Out, In, 250Hz, 4kHz, 250Hz 4 kHz. Which setting should it be on for general listening?
To make it simple, the tone mode is a compresive tone control unit allows you to choose at what frequencies the treble and bass controls started to become effective.
Normally I put it to "out" which is no tone control. But if you think you need tone control, just experiment to find the setting you like.
