TOTL(?) Emerson oddity on Dallas CL - $10

I know a lot of you like this oddball stuff. This one caught my eye because it has a definite "faux Sansui" look to it. Anybody ever seen on of these?

You know, Emerson is (was?) just a brand-name owned by a US importer. They'd buy & bring in production over-runs under their name. I've seen Yamaha CD players with the Emerson name on them. If any of you feel lucky, that might really be a Sansui.

That look's like a cardboard back to me. Do you feel lucky, well do ya?

Kind of an MCS look also- if I was within 5 miles I'd grab it

Well, the cardboard back and the lack of vents in the top of the cabinet are clues that there isn't too much under the hood. But it does have a neat looking faceplate. Only one I've ever seen, that's for sure.
