Nice buy! I love my 452. Does a damn fine job powering my modern 4365's. I doubt I'll ever sell that amp, but...............

I'll probably never have the money, but........

    If I did....

A set of 601 mono blocks and a pair of JBL Everest (in maple.) would be my dream, but.....

I'm thankful for what I have now.

A great example of just how large the JBL 4435 speakers are.

I honestly cant see the need or want for another amp. Mono blocks would be unnecessary and take up too much space. Looking forward to bedding her in properly over the coming weeks.

to all those who've had their Mac juices stimulated....don't wait, set the wheels in motion, activate the MC452 radar, hunt one down and buy it at your earliest opportunity!!!

hahah, yes, didn't really think about it till now but indeed not many 'speakers' could accommodate an MC452 :smoke:

Personally, I'm surprised that more AKers don't own these amps. They're very popular on AA.

The MC352 and MC402 just never did anything for me. The MC602 has this weird form factor where its just SO huge the front panel looks all wrong. The MC452 is just right!

I'm a registered 'lurker' over there, and I have noticed that too. Several threads are focused on the Mc452....

I think it's the small handles on the big face. The one currently for sale on Audiogon, with the, larger, 452 style handles, looks pretty great to me (see photo below).

No doubt about it though, the MC452 is an amazing looking specimen.

The meters should have been larger and higher up to avoid that huge dead space at the top. But I do agree the amp looks better with the Ivan sized handles.

The Schiit Eitr USB to spdif arrived today...great converter for the money. Sounds awesome running into the coax on the MCD500...gonna run out and grab some decent XLR cables to go fully balanced!!:rockon::rockon:
