Troubleshooting a TEAC V-500X

I recently picked up a TEAC V-500X, and I am having an issue with severely reduced playback volume in the left channel. The right channel seems to be playing at full volume, but the left is playing at around 10% full volume. The VU meter on the front doesn't show any apparent imbalance in the left or right volume levels. When I listen with headphones via the headphone jack, the audio is perfectly balanced. It's just when using the output RCA jacks that i get reduced volume in the left channel. Any idea what could be wrong? The only thing I have done to it so far is clean the RCA jacks and volume slider with Deoxit, with no sign of improvement.

Please disregard! I seems the problem was with the speakers I was playing through.
