My 999...no "Stereo" indicator. Lamp is fine. I get good sound but no stereo. I took it to my local tech who quoted me anywhere between $200-250 and said "...may need new power supply and or caps replaced etc..." I don't think he wanted to mess with it. I am considering replacing some caps myself but don't know where to begin. I'm handy, can solder, but have nothing more than a mulimeter for testing purposes.
