Tuner back from the cleaners

Man, am I jazzed :huge:

Some may remember I scored a cosmetically mint TU-919 back in December. Operationally, tho, it need a lot of TLC. So, from Alabama to San Diego and to the tender mercies of Mike Zuccaro it goes. Got it back today, and I am one happy customer. Cold, fresh out ot the box, it sounded wonderful (just like ya'll told me it would!) After a fewdays of warmup it should be a giant killer.

BTW, could someone tell me if the dial "glass" is really glass or some sort of plastic? There is an old piece of scotch tape on the glass and I dont want to put the wrong type of solvent or whatever on it.

Thanks
Don

I know the "glass" on my 9090DB is really like plexi-glass or something, although IIRC I am pretty sure your tuner has real glass

you could tell by tapping your finger on it, or lightly tapping a piece of metal or something

congrats on the "new" tuner :D

Its more of a "thunk" than a "think" so I think its plastic. I scraped the tape of with my thumbnail, but there's still some gooey residue.
