Turntable hum between tracks

anyone know what can be the cause of this? My ground wires are properly put in and the turntable I have is brand new. My receiver is a 70s Technics SA-5170. Can it be the receiver?

Try grounding the table someplace else if possible.

Is it belt drive or Direct Drive? I noticed on recordings on my Direct Drive i heard a little noise inbetween tracks.

That might be it. Dont quote me on it though. I am still learning all of this. But when im recording to my computer with my technics SL-D303 i hear a humming inbetween tracks. And I have been told thats the benefit to belt drive.

I tried to screw on the U shaped ground wire on the turntable higher up instead of down to its extreme and the hum is gone. Hopefully its gone for ever!
