Has anybody ever dealt with Ukraine camera? Was looking at buying a Kiev camera.Old soviet era type a4 .It is 35mm correct or am i way off.

A friend of mine purchased a Kiev 60 (Medium-format, 6x6) back around 1999 or so, when he wanted to dabble in a larger format. Like many mechanical things of Russian origin, these cameras come with a laundry list of "personality problems".

I guess the first question should be:
What do you intend to do with this camera ?
and
What do you expect from it, quality-wise ?

Do you want to stay within a 35mm format, or would you like to take the plunge into (affordable) Medium-Format ?

Maybe use may collect also,no special reason other than i like the looks.
That`s OK too....it`s often nice to just handle one of these, and marvel at the engineering and design work that went into these old cameras.
Happy Hunting !
