Yeah that's killer. I don't think that was Klaus on bass on that one. Did he have a hand in it?Jump Into the Fire. Great tune besides.

Having only heard Voorman play bass, I'm wondering what guitar work of his you might have on your playlist.I’m including Klaus Voorman here as Unsurpassed Master Guitarist and Renaissance Man.
The detuning during the bass solo was a bit of genius.

My mistake, it was Herbie Flowers.Yeah that's killer. I don't think that was Klaus on bass on that one. Did he have a hand in it?
I don't believe that Ry Cooder has been mentioned. One of my favorite guitarists. Here he is collaborating with V.M. Bhatt.

I have both that one and the recording Bhatt did with dobro wizard Jerry Douglas, Bourbon & Rosewater. Those Water Lily recordings feature both amazing musicianship and sound.
Yes I know. No worries. I was hoping there was a bit of a cool story there. My mistake, it was Herbie Flowers.
He plays guitar on several other tracks on that album. I admit it was a reach, but there's no Unsurpassed Renaissance Man Who Also Plays Guitar Playlist thread.Having only heard Voorman play bass, I'm wondering what guitar work of his you might have on your playlist.
Are you familiar with Harry Manx? A blues dude with a big Indian influence. How about some Indian slide guitar?

Very cool, ThanksIf you like to know, Joe started a local band here in the 80 called
The Squares
This is the only recorded clips from a demo, The band broke up when he went on true with Mick Jagger
Thought it was a shame there wasn't any content from the band The Squares on youtube so I decided to bust out some vids out on Windows Movie Maker real quick.
Before starting his solo instrumental guitar career, Joe Satriani was in a Power Pop band called The Squares with current drummer Jeff Campatelli and bassist/vocalist Greg Kihn. Enjoy. (They are wrong about Greg Kihn)
