Using receiver and second amp together

Hi all,
I have a NAD 7400 and a 2700 amp. Am I correct in thinking I could power one channel with the bridged section of the 7400 and the other channel with the bridged 2700?

Thanks in advance if this is a dumb question before I smoke these two;)

You could, as you've likely seen as described in the 7400 owner's manual. However, that suggests the 2400 amp is the companion to do it.

Will the 2700 work? Yeah, probably, but then you may complicate things with having to balance gains if the 2700 is different than the 2400 in that regard.

As well, note the minimum recommended speaker impedance usually changes/increases in bridged mode so be mindful of that too.

IMO after reading a lot of posts.. unless the amp user manual specifically states you can do it! All of that was 8 ohm tech basically..off the shelf and now 4 ohm circuits and speakers can take the demand on amps that say you can bridge. Draw on outputs is usually a short life for the transistors and drivers.
