Pretty neat looking..Sony had one very similar to that but I think it was a little more narrow.

Yep, the Sony sat vertically. The round dials seemed to be popular on the Japanese gear for awhile. Some Mitsubishi units had them too.

Sansui TU-666 and TU-777 had round dials. Nice looking retro units.

Price seems pretty high. Seen then on ebay in mint condition for a lot less. Its a very nice sounding little tuner. Also looks real nice when the big round dial lit up in Sansui green.

Not a very good deal for that kind of money. You see dial type Sansuis several times a week on eBay and for $125 you can probably buy a TU-517 or even a TU-717. See the five TU-717s I have listed on the 'Good Stuff' thread.

X, I have a 777 that the stereo beacon won't light on. Other than that, functions perfectly. Bulb is ok. ?

I love these tuners....I got it to 'match' my AU-999. It looks like it belongs on a submarine! My buddy Stu remarked, "You can almost hear the sonar!"
